Source CodeSpamPal is an Open Source project; interested parties can download the C source code from this page. Use of the SpamPal source code is governed by this license; please read and understand it. TranslationsYou could use the files from the source distribution to translate SpamPal's user-interface into another language. I generally advise against doing this for beta-releases, as they change so rapidly your work will quickly become obsolete. For full releases of SpamPal, I suggest you contact me first; if more than one person is working on a translation into a certain language, I can co-ordinate your efforts and share the workload. This isn't meant to discourage people from translating SpamPal into other languages; on the contrary, I'm very grateful to all those who help to bring SpamPal to non-English-speakers. I'm just trying to save you unnecessary work. PluginsThere is no requirement on plugin authors that SpamPal plugins be open source. On the contrary, to my mind your plugin is 100% your own product, and you can impose whatever licensing conditions you see fit. Some existing plugins may be open source; check on the homepages of specific plugins to find out. The source code for the BadWords plugin is available as part of the Plugin Developer's Kit. |
